Weekend Top 5: Fashion, Fairs and Fests

We’ve come to the end of July, which means fall is just around the corner. But this weekend, we’re all in on summer, and are so excited for the fun that’s ahead. If you’re into fashion, Cincinnati Fashion Night at Krohn Conservatory is the party of the summer; for families, nothing beats a good festival or fair, and we think the Ohio State Fair is absolutely worth a trip this weekend! So let’s make it a fantastic summer weekend, and live it up at one of these events in Cincinnati this weekend.

Fashion

Cincinnati Fashion Night
July 28 from 6-9 p.m. at Krohn Conservatory
On July 28, Cincy Chic, the only online lifestyle publication for women in Greater Cincinnati, is hosting its third-annual Cincinnati Fashion Night at the Krohn Conservatory. In addition to the fashion show series, attendees will see cocktail demos by Molly Wellmann from Wellmann’s Brands, drinks, light bites and shopping with a variety of local businesses. General Admission tickets are $20, and include a swag bag, refreshments and standing room for the show. VIP tickets are $30, and include a swag bag, refreshments, fashion show seating and a chance to win two Ultimate Air Shuttle tickets. This would make the best moms night out!

Star Wars and the Power of Costume
Daily through Oct. 1 at the Cincinnati Museum Center
If you haven’t been to this exhibit yet, you need to go. Presenting more than 60 of the finest hand-crafted costumes featured in all seven films in the Star Wars saga, the exhibition uncovers the challenges, the intricate processes and the remarkable artistry of George Lucas, the concept artists and costume designers. The costumes reflect an eclectic mix of cultural, historical and mythical sources that add rich texture to the story.

SharonFest
July 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight at Gower Park
The Party With a Purpose will be taking over Gower Park on July 28, bringing music, rides, games, beer, food and lots of organizations that help make Sharonville great. Features lots of family friendly activities!

Ohio State Fair
July 26-Aug. 6 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds
Get ready for the Ohio State Fair, a favorite family tradition since 1850! Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo
July 29 and 30 at the Duke Energy Convention Center
Whether you’re expecting your first child or adding to a growing home, the Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo is your guide to everything family. Mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents and extended family and friends can all enjoy discovering new products from approximately 200 baby and children’s boutiques specializing in the latest and greatest new products, clothing and accessories!
