Touch a Truck events put kids in the driver’s seat of their favorite big vehicles: fire trucks, garbage trucks, diggers and dump trucks. These popular events are being held all around Cincinnati this summer, guaranteeing your kids tons of touch-a-truck fun! Be sure to bring a camera — there are lots of fun photo opps at these free events!

April 23 from 6-8 pm at Middleton-Mills Park- Football Field (3415 Mills Road, Covington, KY 41015)
This is an opportunity for children to see, touch, sit in and climb on the vehicles they may have in toy form! There will be plenty for kids to explore! It is lots of fun and a great photo opportunity for parents and grandparents. Presented with Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout Pack 808.
May 4 from 9 am-2 pm at Darlington Raceway
Children of all ages can explore their favorite big trucks, emergency vehicles and MORE! Climb on, explore and discover at this unique outdoor festival. Please note: 9-11 am will be a “quiet hour” free of honks and sirens for those who may prefer a more sensory-friendly environment free from loud noises. Special appearance by local sports team mascots, cartoon characters, face painting, and other childrens activities! Kids will even have the opportunity to take their photo with cartoon characters this year! Admission is $5/person; children 2 and under free.
May 22 from 4-7 pm at Summit Park
Celebrate Public Works Week with some of Blue Ash’s best trucks! Free.
June 10 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Sharonville Convention Center
June 6 from 11 am-1 pm at Montgomery Community Pool
This popular event is held annually at the Montgomery Community Pool and is free for pool members; nonmembers pay a nominal entrance fee.
June 12 at Coney Island
Head to Coney Island for a day of Touch a Truck fun! Let the kids get up close to their favorite big vehicles including fire engines, an air care unit, and more! Be sure to bring your cameras, kids will have a chance to climb aboard many of the trucks. Details on Coney Island’s Facebook page.
June 14 from 11 am to 3 pm at The Square @ Union Centre
A wonderful summer Friday afternoon for families as West Chester and other agencies show off the trucks and equipment that serve the community on The Square @ Union Centre. Kids of all ages can see what it feels like to sit behind the wheel of these vehicles and learn about the people who operate them.
June 21 at 11 am at the Springfield Township Administration Building (9150 Winton Road)
Springfield Township’s annual Touch A Truck brings over 50 service, construction and luxury vehicles to one place. Kids can climb aboard, honk the horns and meet the workers!!! It’s always a great event to bring your camera! Please note: parking is at a premium and it is advised to carpool if you can. Parking is in the lot behind the former Bruegger’s store and US Bank next door to the Springfield Township Civic Center. Front lots need to remain open for customers of these businesses. FREE.
June 22 from 10 am-2 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church (247 US-22, Maineville, OH 45039)
Free, community wide event where kids have the opportunity to see, touch dozens of cool vehicles. FREE.
Aug. 1 from 9 am-12 pm at Weller Park
Montgomery’s annual Touch a Truck event is free and held rain or shine!
Sept. 7 from 10 am-2 pm at the Deerfield Towne Center
Deerfield Parks is teaming up with the Deerfield Towne Center for their annual Touch-A-Truck event! Climb in a variety of vehicles, enjoy the petting zoo, and receive fun giveaways at this fun community event. FREE.
Sept. 28 at the Green Township Administration Building in Dent, Ohio
