Theatre Gift Giving for Tiny Thespians

This year, skip the “things” that will quickly be forgotten — and instead give a gift that will last all year! The gift of live theatre is amazing. And here in Cincinnati, there’s no better gift for little patrons than the gift of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati.

A trip to the theater with family and friends creates memories that last a lifetime. Here’s our Guide to Theatre Gift Giving for Tiny Thespians:

Holiday Shows & Events

BAH HUMBUG! A One-Man Christmas Carol

Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 pm and 5 pm and Sunday, Dec. 1 at 2 pm at the Ralph and Patricia Corbett Showtime Stage, 4015 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227

It’s Charles Dickens’ famous holiday classic with an amazing twist…one actor plays all the roles!  In this story, adapted by Damian Gillan, you’ll experience all your favorite characters from “A Christmas Carol” in this imaginative and magical re-telling of the powerful holiday tale of hope and compassion. Ideal for children ages 5-12.

Mrs. Claus Saves the Day

Dec. 21 at 2 pm and 5 pm & Dec. 22 at 2 pm on the Ralph and Patricia Corbett Showtime Stage, 4015 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227

Behind every great Man-in-Red, is a great Woman-in-Red! She’s making a list and checking it twice! When the holiday is threatened by a severe outbreak of the North Pole Pox two days before Christmas, and Santa himself is quarantined, it’s Mrs. Claus to the rescue! With traditional carols and a world-premiere script (commissioned by The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati), this holiday musical is about leadership, goodwill and teamwork.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Dec. 7-15 at The Taft Theatre, 317 East 5th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202

Back by popular demand, bring your family and celebrate the season with our live rendition of your favorite holiday TV special! Don’t let the hustle and bustle of the holidays get you down. Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang are here to remind us about what’s most important during the Yuletide season. Look for a local news anchor playing the role of a precocious pup. Don’t forget to snap a ‘selfie’ with Santa while you’re there!

With your tickets in hand… here are some fun ways to spice up your gift:

  • Pro-Tip: TCT has bookmarks for every show available for free!

For $15… add a movie or music!

Sometimes kids like to know what they’re getting into before they see a show. Get the movie version or soundtrack from upcoming shows to be ready to sing along with your favorites!
