Ticket/Safety Protocol

The Taft highly encourages visitors to purchase and save on admission online at taftmuseum.org but will offer on-site purchases. All tickets will include timed entry and Museum capacity will be reduced significantly to ensure social distancing. As per Cincinnati’s Mandatory Mask Ordinance, all guests 6 and up will be required to wear masks when visiting the Taft Museum.

The Taft Museum of Art will continue to strictly adhere and adapt to the guidance set forth by state government officials, the World Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control. This includes continuing enhanced cleaning protocols for all Museum spaces, requiring employees to wear masks and undergo temperature checks to begin their workday, and providing sanitation stations throughout our facilities.

Upcoming Exhibits

Upon re-opening, the Taft will open its first of three slated bicentennial exhibitions planned for 2020 through 2021. Built to Last: The Taft Historic House at 200 (July 10–August 16, 2020) begins in the intimate Sinton Gallery and continues through the Taft historic house. The exhibition will showcase the remarkable artifacts and stories left behind by the home’s residents and other key figures, illuminating the architectural jewel’s 200-year transformation. Admission will include entry to this special exhibition.

All museum tours for the special exhibition and throughout the historic house will be self-guided and interactive activities will be available online.

Lindner Family Café

The Taft’s Lindner Family Café will be open for lunch service Fridays through Sundays, 11:15 am-2 pm, with appetizer and drink service available Fridays 2–3:30 pm and Saturdays and Sundays 2-4 pm. The café will offer dedicated dining hours for vulnerable guests 11:15 am-12 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. To increase social distancing for diners, tented and patio seating has been expanded to the Taft’s historic gardens (pending inclement weather) and within the Taft (pending demand). Reservations will be required and can be made at taftmuseum.org/café.
