The Great Amazing Race Adventure Returns to Cincinnati

The Great Amazing Race is returning to Cincinnati! No, it’s not the TV show that features teams of competitors racing around the world for a $1 million prize. The Great Amazing Race is, modeled after the popular TV show, will bring crazy challenges & obstacles to participants at Hopewell Athletic Fields on Saturday, September 5th in West Chester.

The Great Amazing Race is tagged as the funnest family race series on the planet and makes stops in 50 other cities across the U.S. in 2015.

The Great Amazing Race is a national skills competition for the whole family to experience. Two person teams (adults & kids grades k-12) in separate age divisions race against their peers while completing a string of unique outdoor challenges spread along a one-mile off-road course. Each challenge is designed to require partners to work together to complete task or obstacle, before advancing to the next challenge station. The top 25 teams qualify for regional championship race and chance to win $1,500.

The race is for everyone – runners, joggers & walkers – pee wees to grandparents. Participants can choose either the recreation and competitive course- based on their age and fitness level. Waves begin every 10 minutes – kids team, then adult teams, Participants should be prepared to get a little dirty and wet – it’s part of the fun.

Teams that donate 2 pairs of used sneakers or running shoes for pediatric cancer will receive free time-eraser token that shaves 2 minutes off their final time.
