Summer Reading at the Cincinnati Library

One of the best parts about summer is the freedom kids have to read whatever they want. (Because reading is always a good thing, whether it’s reading a classic novel, newspaper, magazine, e-book or even graphic novel!) Get your kids excited for reading by signing up for the summer reading program at the Cincinnati Library.

From now through July 31, kids can track their reading (download a printable reading tracker here!) to earn prizes. All you’ll need is a library card; then simply fill out an online profile and start reading!

(For reading inspiration, check out the library’s lists of must-read books. Simply click on the age category of your reader for a roundup of recommended books!)

This program is for everyone, from babies to adults, whether you’re the reader or person being read to. Prize eligibility is based on age (babies/toddlers complete a level after 2 hours; older kids complete a level after 4), and prizes range from small toys and craft supplies to books, coupons and tote bags! All participants will be entered into drawings for large prizes, such as Duplo blocks (for younger kids) to a Kindle Fire (for older teens/adults)!
