Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival

It’s fall! Soon the air will become crisp with a wood-burning scent and colorful autumn leaves will fill the trees. And to celebrate this season of change, my family attends the annual Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival…a wonderful tradition that we look forward to every year. Don’t miss out! From now until Sunday, October 29th, enjoy all the family-friendly fall festivities at this beautiful, Butler County farm.

Located off of Lesourdsville West Chester Road in Hamilton, farm admission is $12/person at the gate or purchase tickets online (children under 2 are always FREE) and includes all festival activities (pumpkins and refreshments are extra).  My family attended on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon; and I am always so impressed with their friendly, knowledgeable staff. We were greeted and given a tour of what and where each activity was located. Then the adventure began…

My daughter spotted the Barnyard Jump, and soon we had a mother/daughter contest of who could jump higher. Needless to say, she won. Then we went on the popular and farm “must-do” hayride enjoying each other’s company and the beautiful surroundings. But our favorite activity was conquering the 4-acre corn maze scavenger hunt, The Farm Scene Investigation. Each participant must figure out “who done it” — the chicken in the barn with the pipe, etc. (Parents, if you love Clue, this is your game!).

After 45 minutes in the maze, we worked up quite the appetite. We enjoyed some local and fresh fare. The concession stand is famous for their cinnamon-sugar donuts (and one is just not enough…seriously, we ate two). We also tried other delicious fall treats such as cider slushies, kettle corn and caramel apples. There is homemade apple butter and local honey to purchase for treats at home.

With our bellies full, we ventured onto other activities such as the barrel train, pipe swing, tug-a-war and more. And the day ended at the pumpkin patch. Big or small, flat or tall, white, orange or green, there is the perfect pumpkin for everyone (pumpkins are priced by size).

For even more Fall Festival fun at Niederman’s Farm, reserve a bonfire for your next family or group function for $50-$100 plus general admission for all guests. Everyone can roast hot dogs, make s’mores or just cuddle around the fire. Visit their website for hours and more information on the Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival. Your family will make the best fall memories!
