Looking for a really simple but lovely Halloween event? Then check out the Nature at Night Pumpkin Hike at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve on Saturday, Oct. 29th. Bring a flashlight and arrive any time between 7 and 8 p.m. to check in for the self-guided, paved walk through the woods, lined with lit up jack-o-lanterns. A limited number of tickets will be sold for the 8:30 p.m. jack-o’-lantern drawing, when you can take one home. It’s amazing to see what all the volunteers have carved, which will surely provide some inspiration for any last minute carving!
Our family has gone several years since it’s a quick and easy event in our area and it’s never been too crowded.
