It has been described as being “like a Birthright for Moms” and “the most powerful, and most enjoyable, investment in Jewish motherhood.” And it will be happening for a select group of local Jewish moms this summer.
Since its founding in 2009, the Jewish Women’s Renaissance Project (JWRP) has brought over ten thousand Jewish mothers on “MOMentum Journeys” to Israel.
The trips, typically just over a week in Israel, are highly subsidized by private donors as well as the Ministry of Jerusalem and Diaspora Affairs. This Israeli ministry has awarded JWRP unique status among trip providers. Hotels, tours, and ground transportation are all free! All group meals are covered by the subsidy as well. Participants only pay for flights to Israel. An incredible Shabbat in the Old City of Jerusalem is an extra special perk, fully covered in the package.
Locally, Kollel Partners, an outreach division of the Cincinnati Community Kollel, serves as the partner agency facilitating trips for Cincinnati-area Jewish moms. Dozens of local women have already taken advantage of this exciting, highly subsidized Israel experience in the past and Kollel Partners is thrilled to be able to make this unique opportunity available to another set of Jewish moms. Registration is now open for the upcoming trip departing for Israel on July 29.
JWRP trips always include security personnel, and safety of participants is a top priority. JWRP has brought women from most states in the U.S. and dozens of countries worldwide on the Momentum Journey. Aside from the many “classic” tour sites, JWRP provides unique access to some of Israel’s most fascinating personalities and their homes.
Jewish mothers of children eighteen or under are invited to apply for the July trip, but applications are closing soon!
Having been to Israel before does not preclude participation in this trip but it is most appropriate for those who have not been there recently. Information is available through KollelPartners.org/Israel or JWRP.org.
