Joseph-Beth’s Kids’ Department at Crestview Hills is Open!

Chances are, you’ve visited one of the Joseph-Beth Booksellers in our area. And chances are, you loved it. We are lucky enough to be within walking distance of the Joseph-Beth at Crestview Hills Town Center, and we spend A LOT of time there. It’s a great destination in and of itself, but it’s also a great stop after dinner or even the perfect incentive for some well-behaved shopping (I know this from experience!).

If you’ve stopped by the Crestview Hills location recently, you’ve seen the “pardon our mess” signs as they expanded and renovated the children’s section. Well, the Joseph-Beth Kids’ Department at Crestview Hills is officially open — and ready for eager, young readers to peruse the thousands (yes, thousands!) of books, along with a great selection of toys, games and even clothing!

Editor’s Note: Read all about Andrea’s children’s book, The Hippo at My Window, here!

Since the new children’s area is triple the size of the previous one, it has a little bit of everything. Of course the main focus is the book selection. As before, the books are easily visible for little eyes, and there are benches and corners perfect for previewing a new favorite.

My favorite addition to the space is the large red barn nook, complete with seating for story time and a few new puzzles and blocks – which the kids are welcome to play with! Story time at the Crestview location is Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and is always a big hit with my children. They sing fun songs, get stamps and stickers and of course listen to delightful children’s literature.

If you’re a regular visitor of the bookstore, you’ll be happy to know the train table is still there — it’s always popular! And there is still a great selection of high-quality toys and puzzles. And new to the section is the “Baby Boutique!” Given its Kentucky location, of course there is some UK gear, along with adorable baby and toddler clothing. Joseph Beth has always been a favorite one-stop-shop of mine when it comes to birthday shopping, and now they have even more options!

I love bookstores. I’m pretty sure I could sit in one all day long and be happy. In fact, I know I could at Joseph-Beth. And my kids feel the same way! Aside from the fantastic children’s section, they have a café with yummy food and the rest of the store is SO much fun to walk around and look (and buy!).  It’s the perfect place for shopping for unique, meaningful gifts and they have a great selection of books for all ages.

So if you’re in Northern Kentucky, swing by and check out the NEW children’s section at Joseph-Beth Booksellers! Come for story time, or be on the look out for special events and visitors. Visit www.josephbeth.com for more info!

A native Cincinnatian, Andrea has experienced life in all four corners of this city. After growing up on the west side, she headed north to attend Miami University, then moved east to Hyde Park and now lives in Northern Kentucky with her family.

When she’s not playing trains and doing the “hot dog dance” as a stay-at-home mom to her two toddlers, Andrea is busy writing for Cincinnati publications and sites. With a newfound passion for fitness and overall health, she spends a lot of time at her family gym and loves to play outside.

Andrea worked in education for several years and has a special love for children’s literature. She loves showing her children all our city has to offer and enjoys sharing her finds with other parents. Her favorite spots include the Cincinnati Zoo (although she steers clear of the bird house), her local library and any playground.
