January 19 Ages & Stages: Raising Readers

Research shows that reading to children and discussing the book as you read is the single best way to increase your child’s IQ and instill the love of reading.

Question: does your child read every day, not because they have to, but just for fun?

Children that read because they enjoy it are those kids who do better academically every step of the way. Did you know that children who choose to read independently become better readers and score higher on achievement tests in all subject areas? So what can you do as a parent? Just because your child is older doesn’t mean you can’t help. Join us for the next Ages & Stages parent workshop as Lisa Soper, Youth Services Coordinator for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, offers tips on how to raise readers. She’ll also share ways to get your child to love reading.

Join us for Cincinnati Children’s Ages & Stages workshop on Saturday, January 19 from 9am-10:30am at the Liberty Campus, 7777 Yankee Road, Liberty Township 45044.
