Go for the Gold with an Olympics Party

Time flies when you’re having fun, and when you’re watching the Olympics! We’re almost halfway through the 16-day viewing extravaganza and headed into a long holiday weekend — the perfect time to host an Olympic-themed party!

Whether you’re hosting family, friends, kids or all the above, start by planning some easy yet fun games to create a little competition. If you’re able to get outside consider games that include running, jumping, throwing or kicking. If you’re feeling really ambitious head to your garage or basement to find objects to create an obstacle course. If you’re stuck inside, no worries! Try balloon volleyball or tennis, ping pong balls in cups, ring toss, jenga, straw javelin, paper plate toss, broom mini golf or nerf targets.

Need party favors for the kids? Consider medals, whistles or clappers from Amazon or your local party store. For dessert, make a cake out of Olympic rings, or place toothpick flags in cupcakes. You can find more party ideas here on Pinterest and Etsy.

Have fun and go for the gold!
