If you are looking for a place to spend a few hours having tons of outdoor Fall Farm Family Fun for minimal cost, Burwinkel Farms is the place to go! Burwinkel Farms in Ross, Ohio features 3 traditional mazes (2 separate corn mazes and 1 skid maze) that will leave you turning around at dead end after dead end. Just watch the excitement on your kiddos faces as they come to a dead end and turn around to run the other way. For an added challenge, find the 4 scavenger hunt items within each maze.
Burwinkel Farms activities also include a hayride through sunflower field with a mission to find 11 themed scarecrows along the way. The hayride takes you to a ‘pick your own’ pumpkin patch and a blooming sunflower field to hike through—where each guest get to pick both a pie pumpkin and sunflower! If you’d rather keep your distance and avoid a hayride, no worries, there is a cheaper sunflower walking option as well (1-mile round trip) which includes all the activities, a small pumpkin from the patch, and a sunflower (when in bloom). If choosing the walking option, it is recommended to bring your wagons and strollers for the kiddos. Spend time visiting with our donkeys, follow the Halloween Scavenger hunt, and attempt the ‘Red, White and Blue maze’.Â
Plan to spend at least a couple hours total watching your family have a blast. Tons of photo opportunities that are too cute to miss! Also, be sure to leave with some delicious, homegrown apples and apple cider. Light snacks, including homemade caramel apples, and drinks available for sale.
