The Cincinnati Boychoir is one of the premiere professional boychoirs in the United States, maintaining a world-class performance level and the highest quality music education. Since 1965, the Boychoir has worked to create opportunities for every boy in the greater Cincinnati area to sing, regardless of music background, age, race, income, etc. and to ensure that it is a safe space for every boy. Located in the urban arts core of Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Boychoir reaches more than 300 young men each year from more than 100 schools in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Each year, the Cincinnati Boychoir presents approximately thirty annual performances in the Greater Cincinnati region and has performed concerts and completed residencies both at home and abroad. Most recently, the Boychoir has appeared on stages in the United Kingdom and Australia and heads to South Africa in June, 2018.
Cincinnati Music Academy, LLC (CMA) was started in 1997 by three Cincinnati music teachers. Their objective in starting CMA was to provide high-quality music education in a friendly, productive environment for their students and an appropriate business atmosphere for themselves and other independent Cincinnati music teachers.
CMA is located at 7420 Montgomery Road in Silverton, one mile west of the Kenwood Towne Center.
CMA is convenient to Interstate 71 and to several major roads. It is located just a few minutes from the more than 200 shops in Kenwood Towne Centre mall and Sycamore Plaza, plus dozens of nearby stores.
CMA’s independent piano, voice, guitar, flute, string, percussion, and music technology teachers provide a wide variety of teaching experiences to help their students increase their knowledge and enjoyment of making music. Many of these teachers are affiliated with one or more professional organizations, including:
Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)
Ohio Music Teachers Association (OMTA)
Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA)
Ohio Federation of Music Clubs (OFMC)
National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC)
Many Cincinnati Music Academy teachers offer enhanced experiences to their students by participating in enrichment programs such as:
Junior Music Experience (JME)
OMTA events including Piano Play-a-thon, Masquerade Musicale, Buckeye Competition, Auditions Festival, Ensemble Event and more
Junior Music Festival
Music Development Program
As CMA’s teachers are independent businesspeople; they determine their own policies, teaching programs and methods, schedules, and price structures. CMA has no control over these and is not responsible for them.
Note: You are welcome to visit Cincinnati Music Academy — but by appointment (only). Call (513) 891-7714 to make an appointment.
