The story — and music — of The Nutcracker, have always gone hand in hand with the holiday season. Cincinnati Ballet’s The Nutcracker is the perfect opportunity to introduce even your youngest children to the performance arts, as the colorful costumes, captivating music and family-centered environment are sure to grab and keep their attention. It’s a special time to spend as a family, maybe get a little dressed up and head to our bustling downtown to enjoy all it has to offer this month.
Cincinnati Ballet’s The Nutcracker is a wonderful experience for the entire family. And The Cincinnati Ballet always manages to keep it fresh each year, while maintaining its magic and enchantment. This year, little patrons will be pleased by the newest member of the cast: Fiona the Hippo!
The Cincinnati Ballet and Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden collaborated on the character development for this fun and creative partnership. This year, Fiona was old enough to audition for a role in The Nutcracker Kidscast – and she’s been diligently rehearsing for months for her big debut!
