BB Riverboats

Cincinnati is a river city, and the best way to take in the Queen City is by boat; namely, BB Riverboats.

BB Riverboats is a family-owned operation that offers guests the opportunity to cruise down the Ohio aboard a sternwheeler riverboat. The Belle of Cincinnati is their largest boat, holding up to 1,000 guests and featuring three stories and an iconic red paddle.

BB Riverboats is one of Cincinnati’s top attractions and has served the Greater Cincinnati area for over 30 years. There are several kid-friendly cruises on BB Riverboats that make great “staycation” options or just a special outing as a family.

This summer, as we navigate life with COVID-19, BB Riverboats provides families a safe way to enjoy the city. BB Riverboats reopened Memorial Day Weekend with a number of new procedures and safety guidelines. For starters, their boats are operating at a drastically reduced capacity to comply with state guidelines.

BB Riverboats employees are also required to wear a mask and their temperatures are taken before their shifts. (Guests are encouraged, but not required, to wear masks during cruises.) Hand sanitizer is readily available on the boats, where signs gently remind guests to practice social distancing. Because of the boats’ expansive indoor and outdoor spaces, social distancing is easy for families to do. Read more about BB Riverboats’s COVID-19 procedures here.

In addition to a number of family-friendly daytime sightseeing cruises, this summer, BB Riverboats is also offering Ice Cream Social Sundays and Pirate Cruises, two fantastic options for kids. These excursions are a wonderful opportunity to show your family our city and a playful time aboard one of Cincinnati’s iconic riverboats.
