Author Rosemary Wells is visiting Cincinnati!

Rosemary Wells is an acclaimed children’s author and illustrator, best-known for creating the world of sibling bunnies Max and Ruby: curious toddler Max and bossy big-sister Ruby.

Next week, Wells will be in Cincinnati to promote her “Real Art for Young Artists” exhibit, which opens Sept. 15 at the Main Library. Here’s where you can see her:

Real Art for Young Artists: The Art of Rosemary Wells

Rosemary Wells wants to give children the chance to experience original art. Through her Real Art for Young Artists initiative, Ms. Wells is allowing the Library to exhibit the original watercolor art from her classic book Noisy Nora. The artwork will be on display in the Children’s Library at the Main Library beginning September 15. To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Wells will visit the Main Library for a presentation with local illustrator Will Hillenbrand and book signing on Sunday, September 15 from 2-4 pm. This event is free and open to everyone.

Blue Manatee Literacy Project

Wells is visiting the Blue Manatee Literacy Project on Monday, September 16 at 4 pm. Rosemary will be speaking on her career as an award-winning author and illustrator along with signing copies of her books. Cost to attend this event is $5 per person, with proceeds benefitting the BMLP’s outreach programs. Admission includes entry into a raffle for an original piece of artwork by the acclaimed author/illustrator!

At 3:40 pm on September 16, a special Members-Only meet-and-greet will happen for anyone that purchases a Blue Manatee membership before midnight Friday, Sept 13. Members will also receive front-of-the-line numbers for the signing. Rosemary will only be signing books purchased through the Blue Manatee Literacy Project for this event.
