A floating cinema with socially distanced boats is coming to Cincinnati this September.

Beyond Cinema will bring their floating theater to Cincinnati Sept. 23-27.

The company has set up similar experiences in cities across the world. The floating cinema will be made up of 12 to 24 mini boats holding up to eight people per boat.

As we continue to navigate through this pandemic, activities with built-in social distancing have surged. Specifically, drive-in theatres have been very popular this summer. Beyond Cinema’s floating cinema offers similar, socially distant fun.

Tickets will require you to purchase the whole boat to ensure that groups will be seated with friends and family only, to allow for social distancing on and between boats.

Movies will be set a mix of classics and new releases, and will be announced when tickets go on sale later this summer. There will be free popcorn for everyone attending, and other movie snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

The event is currently available for pre-registration here.
