Ah, November: we love you. Thanksgiving, crisp temps, beautiful colors. But while we can’t wait to say ‘hello’ to the 11th month next week, we’re savoring every last minute of October. So before we begin November (and ultimately, the holiday season!), let’s take a minute to give October its dues – because it really is a lovely month.

Here are 5 things you need to do before November:

Go trick-or-treating – before Halloween!

Get the most out of this year’s costumes by attending one (or more!) of the area’s Halloween events. No tricks, lots of treats.

We waxed poetic on the latest TCT show in our review, and you need to see for yourself why we loved it! Peter Pan JR. is pure magic – and Bob Herzog’s performance as Captain Hook is one for the books. {Get your tickets for one of the four remaining shows here!}

Go trick-or-treating – on Halloween!

Tuesday’s the big day – wondering when trick-or-treat is in your community? Or grandma’s? We’ve got the full breakdown to trick-or-treat times in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Safe trick-or-treating!

Check out one of our award-winning fall festivals

Look – we get it. There are just so many fall festivals in Cincinnati, it’s difficult to know where to start! So we handed out awards to recognize 7 of the area’s farms and festivals that each have something extra special.

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos

Taking place October 31-November 2 (a span that includes All Saints’ Eve, Day, Souls Day and, of course, Halloween), Dia de los Muertos celebrations include building ceremonial altars to encourage the souls of the beloved deceased to visit. It’s a fun holiday and there are lots of great places to celebrate in Cincinnati!
