Warmer weather is finally here, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy a family meal outdoors! Luckily, Cincinnati is full of picturesque, picnic-worthy places to enjoy a meal.

Eden Park (pictured)
When you think of Cincinnati Parks, Eden Park is likely what comes to mind. Home to Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and the Krohn Conservatory, Eden Park is quintessentially ‘Cincinnati.’ This park is worth a visit on its own; however, and the overlook (located just up the road from Krohn) offers perhaps *the* most spectacular river views in Cincinnati. (Bonus: the Art Climb is a wonderful way to burn off some energy!)
Ault Park
Tons of green space makes Ault Park as perfect for a picnic as it is for a round of catch or frisbee with the kids. Eat at the greenspace and explore the nearby trails after lunch. Older kids will love the views from the picnic tables at the Overlook.
French Park
French Park has rolling hills, trails, creeks, meadows and distant city views that will make you weak in the knees for our city. This 275-acre park is quiet and serene, and truly one of the most underrated gems in Cincinnati.

Mt. Airy Forest
This park is the largest of all the Cincinnati Parks, boasting nearly 1,500 tree-filled acres. While all buildings and the acclaimed treehouse are closed, there are still plenty of places to enjoy a picnic. We especially love the area around the Arboretum.
Sharon Woods
Sharon Woods is perhaps the most loved Great Park — and for good reason. This centrally located, 730-acre park is accessible for families of all ages, with lots of places to explore. Families can choose from a 2.6-mile paved multi-purpose trail around the lake, a 1-mile fitness trail and the 0.7-mile Gorge nature trail. And with the Sharon Creek running throughout this Great Park, there are lots of shallow spots for creek stomping. Kids will especially love admiring the waterfalls.
