Once upon a time, Halloween happened once a year… on Halloween. Nowadays, kids get to do the Monster Mash all October long! Not only does this mean more loot for kids (and parents!), but it also gives kids the opportunity to practice their “Trick or Treat!” greetings and get lots of mileage out of this year’s Halloween costumes.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island
Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 29
The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island is all treats and no tricks when it comes to family-friendly fun including live entertainment, mazes, trick-or-treating and so much more!! Guests of all ages will enjoy our Halloween-themed festivities, sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Jack O’Lantern Junction at Entertrainment Junction

Halloween fun for the whole family! Walk through our kid-friendly trick-or-treat maze, visit our mini animated display, Halloweenville, and visit the area’s only indoor Pumpkin Patch where kids get to pick a mini pumpkin!
Melrose YMCA Fall Festival
Oct. 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

HallZOOween at the Cincinnati Zoo
Oct. 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29
Little ghouls and boys can enjoy FOUR spooktacular weekends of fun at the Cincinnati Zoo. HallZOOween is FREE with Zoo Admission! Help the Zoo ‘Go Green’ by bringing your own treat bag! Kids are encouraged to wear a costume during HallZOOween, but it is not required.
Fall-o-Ween at Coney Island
Oct. 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22
Features kid-friendly haunts, rides and a trick-or-treat trail! The whole family can celebrate all things fall with spooky displays, fall fare, pumpkins and more!
Loveland Kidsfest 2017
Oct. 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Nisbet Park
This event kicks off at 2 p.m. with a Children’s Halloween Costume Parade that starts at the Gazebo and travels around Nisbet Park. There will be free Halloween Pails at the Gazebo in Nesbit Park for the first 500 kids that arrive. The kids can fill their pails with goodies at the designated “Trick or Treat Spots” in the park and participating businesses. Look for the “Orange and Black Balloons”! There will be face painting, pumpkin decorating (Pumpkins and Art Supplies are provided at no charge), a huge bounce house, other inflatable attractions and plenty of other activities for the kids. This event is sponsored by The Loveland-Symmes Community Firefighters Association and supported by select local businesses and organizations, and is FREE.
Halloween Nights at Parky’s Farm
Oct. 12-29 (Thursdays-Sundays)
Join in on the spooky, hardly-haunted fun at Parky’s Farm! This annual event features hay wagon rides, festive Halloween displays and family fun activities and entertainment for all ages. Pre-order tickets online: $7/person; Tickets at gate: $8/person; Free/children under 2.
Heritage Village’s Haunted Village
October 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28
The Haunted Village at Heritage Village Museum provides festive fun for the entire family, from trick-or-treaters to thrill seekers. There are several buildings, all with different activities. Some of the houses are haunted; there is storytelling, face painting, balloon art, fortune telling and more. All houses have a very friendly person standing outside passing out candy for younger kids who don’t want to venture all the way in.
Trunk ‘R Treat Fall Festival
Oct. 14 from 2:30-5 p.m. at Beech Acres Park
A classic car show, kids in costumes, music, games, prizes and candy combine for this annual event. Families and car enthusiasts stroll around the oval at Beech Acres Park while kids “trunk ‘r treat.” Pets are not permitted.
Blue Ash YMCA Fall Festival
Oct. 14 from 3-5 p.m.

The Great Pumpkin Fest
Oct. 14 from 2-6 p.m. at Keehner Park
Free family-friendly event features the Primrose School of West Chester costume contest (ages 0-12), horse-and-wagon rides, petting zoos, a not-so-scary haunted trail, crafts, games and more. NEW: This year’s event will also feature a rescheduled, mini version of Touch A Truck which was canceled in June due to inclement weather. Kids will be invited to climb into the driver’s seat of Township vehicles including police cruisers, snow plows, street sweepers and more! WCPD will bring its Ident-I-Kid unit for children and families.
Old West Fest Halloween Weekend
October 14-15
The Old West Fest’s Themed Weekends make this unique festival even more fun! During Halloween Weekend, kids can come in costume and trick or treat around this “ghost” town.

Cincinnati Parks’ Annual Magic Forest Halloween Hikes
Oct. 20 and 21 at Caldwell Nature Preserve
If you’re looking for a family-friendly alternative to haunted houses, then Cincinnati Parks’ Magic Forest Halloween Hikes are the perfect, not-too-spooky solution! Your family will walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet friendly jack-o-lanterns and meet costumed nature characters such as an Owl, Mother Nature and Bat along the way! Children will delight in the stories and engaging performances at this event that’s best-suited for children ages 3-10.
Halloween Hustle 5K Cincinnati
Oct. 21 from 8-11 a.m. at Sawyer Point
The Halloween Hustle is a series of family-friendly Halloween-themed 5K fun runs in numerous cities across the U.S. that partners with nonprofit organizations to put on events to help raise funds and awareness for their cause. Cowboys, clowns and caped crusaders are all welcome! Be sure to get your picture in front of the Halloween themed photo screen, get an official Halloween Hustle cape and finisher’s medal, and enjoy the fun for all ages. The Halloween Hustle wants to put the “Happy” in Halloween!!

We will sing and dance to Halloween songs in addition to our usual favorite children’s songs. Drop-In cost is $12.50 per child. Newborns under three months are free when accompanied by an older sibling for class. All other children attending class will be charged. Class registration includes admission to our play+cafe!!

In addition to trick-or-treating amid jesters, duels and kings, your kids can participate in a costume contest and decorate pumpkins while enjoying the final weekend of this iconic Ohio festival.
Wear Your Costume/Doggie Costume Day at Country Pumpkins

Technically, this isn’t a trick-or-treat event, but it sounded like too much fun not to share! Oct. 28 is “Wear Your Costume Day” for humans, and Oct. 29 is “Wear Your Costume Day” for dogs! Expect lots of Halloween fun at both these Country Pumpkins events.
A Very GREEN Halloween at Krohn Conservatory

The 4th annual family event for children to dress up, make crafts and enjoy in a non-scary nature-inspired Halloween venue. Presented by Scherzinger Termite and Pest Control.
Trunk or Treat

A safe and fun Halloween event for children. Volunteers decorate the trunks of their cars and give away candy. A free meal and chili cook-off are included.
