Where to Trick or Treat in Cincinnati

Once upon a time, Trick or Treat happened once a year, on Halloween. Nowadays, kids get to trick-or-treat all October long! Not only does this mean more loot for kids (and parents!), but it also gives kids the opportunity to practice their “Trick or Treat!” greetings and get lots of mileage out of this year’s Halloween costumes.

Here’s where to Trick or Treat in Cincinnati this year:

 

 

Freaky Friday
Friday, October 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion
Come dressed in your Halloween costumes for a frightening good time at TriHealth’s annual Halloween carnival! There will be Halloween treat stations, kids’ games, face painting and a magic show! Cost is $7 per kid over 2; children under 2 and adults are free.

Halloween Creepy Campout
October 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29 at Winton Woods Campgrounds
Creepy Campouts at Winton Woods Campground have been a Halloween tradition for more than 20 years! Families from miles around come to enjoy one last camping weekend of the year, and the not-so-spooky event is a chance to create memories that will last a lifetime. Take part in activities each weekend, including hay rides, storytelling, trick-or-treating and contests for “Best Jack-o’-Lantern” and “Best Decorated Campsite.” See website for camping rates.

HallZOOween
October 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 & 29-30 at the Cincinnati Zoo
Little ghouls and boys can enjoy FOUR spooktacular weekends of fun from 12-5 p.m. Enjoy Trick-or-Treat Stations, special animal encounters and more! Free for members and included with Zoo admission.

Fall-O-Ween Festival at Coney Island
October 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23 from 2-6 p.m. (Fall-O-Ween Festival hours are 1-7 p.m.)
Kids 12 and under can come in costume and walk the Trick-or-Treat trail in the Moonlite Mall! Trick-or-treaters will visit the ‘Creep County Fair’, a not-so-scary town filled with whimsical kid-sized buildings and crazy characters who will pass out treats along the way! Children are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes and visit Trick or Treat Stations to receive goodies generously donated by local sponsors.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island
Saturdays & Sundays from October 1 – October 30. Halloween activities are from 12-6 p.m.
This family-friendly daytime event is held on Saturdays and Sundays in October and includes Halloween-themed live shows, a pumpkin patch, a hay bale maze, trick-or-treating, a petting farm and so much more! Your favorite rides will be open during the day, including our award-winning Planet Snoopy kids’ area.

Great Parks Halloween Nights
October 13-30, Thursdays-Sundays 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Join in on the spooky, hardly-haunted fun at Parky’s Farm! This annual event features hay wagon rides, glow in the dark mini golf, fun house and slide, festive Halloween displays and family fun activities and entertainment for all ages. Pre-order tickets online starting 9/19: $7/person; Tickets at gate: $8/person; Free/children under 2.

Jack O’Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction
Daily through Nov. 1
Kids can walk through a fun trick-or-treat maze and see kid friendly ghosts, skeletons and more all while collecting a bag of goodies! Free mini pumpkin for each kid.

Heritage Village Haunted Village
Friday and Saturdays, October 14-29 from 6-10 p.m.
Everyone is encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and children can Trick or Treat throughout the Village. Face painting, balloon animal making and games will amuse children of all ages. A Very Green Halloween! at Krohn Conservatory
Oct. 15 from 1-3 p.m.
Kids can wear their costumes and come celebrate Halloween at Krohn Conservatory! A family event for children to dress up, make crafts and enjoy a non-scary nature inspired Halloween.

Lil’ Monsters’ Halloween Party!
Sat., Oct. 15 from 3-4 p.m. at the Newport Branch Library
A silly, spooky Halloween party for the toddler and preschool crowd! Enjoy fun games, creative crafts, and yummy treats! Wear your costumes if you like! Ages 2-5. Free.

Truck ‘R Treat Fall Festival
Sat., Oct. 15 from 2:30-5 p.m. at Beech Acres Park
A classic car show, kids in costumes, music, games, prizes and candy combine for this annual event. Families and car enthusiasts stroll around the oval at Beech Acres Park while kids “trunk ‘r treat.” Pets are not permitted.

Fairfield Parks and Recreation’s Farm-R-Treat
Wed., Oct. 19, 4-7 p.m. at Village Green Park
Bring the whole family to enjoy a special seasonal twist throughout Village Green Park at the season finale of the Village Green Farmers Market. All your Fall favorites for eating and decorating will be available from local farmers, bakers, and crafters at Fairfield Parks and Recreation’s Farm-R-Treat. Your kids can wear their costumes to trick or treat throughout the market, play free seasonal games, and explore the park with a selfie scavenger hunt. You can check out the added fall craft vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment provided by Chris Schram, Better Together, and Fairfield City Starz Junior and Intermediate Hip Hop classes.

Come for Cool Kritters, face painting, games and prizes!

Halloween Treat Street
Oct. 21, 6-8 p.m. at the Deerfield Towne Center
Deerfield Township and the Deerfield Towne Center have cooked up a spell-binding evening of fun for the whole family! Free.

Campbell County YMCA Fall Festival
Fri., Oct. 21 fro 5:30-8 p.m.
This festival will have a DJ, bounce house, bumper cars, Fall-O-Ween costume contest, games and snacks!

Highland County YMCA Fall Festival

Magic Forest Halloween Hikes

Enjoy 100 jack-o-lanterns & meet costumed nature characters such as an Owl, Mother Nature, Bat, and others! Children delight in the stories & engaging performances on this non-scary event. Hikes leave every 5 minutes & last for1 hour. Tickets are $6 per person; kids under 3 are free.

Spooky Sunday at President’s Park in Edgewood
Sun, Oct. 23, 3:30-6:30 p.m.
For Ghosts and Goblins 12 and Under Meet at St. Pius at 3:45 for the costume parade to Presidents Park Followed by the costume contest and the Haunted Forest.

Trick or Treat Tuesday at IKEA
Tues., Oct. 25, 6-8 p.m. at IKEA West Chester
Kids can come dressed up and get candy at different stations throughout the store.

Family Storytime: Trick or Treat!
Wed., Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Harrison Branch Library
Wear your costume and trick or treat in the library after today’s storytime! Enjoy books, songs, activities and more, while building early literacy skills. For children and their caregivers.

Adventure Club: Halloween Party!
Thurs., Oct. 27 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Cold Spring Branch Library
Celebrate this spooky holiday with the library! Enjoy crafts, games, and snacks.

Trunk or Treat at Florence United Methodist Church
Oct. 29, 5-6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot
A family time of fun for the kids as well as the adults decorating their trunks! Lots of fun trinkets & treats to be found in all those trunks.

Fall Fest Weekend at Washington Park
Sat., Oct. 29 and Sun., Oct. 30, 12-8 p.m.

Trunk or Treat & Harvest Party

Sat., Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m. at Countryside YMCA
Come out dressed up in your favorite Halloween costume and celebrate Harvest time! Trick or Treat from the trunks of cars in our parking lot and have a good time with family, friends, games, crafts, candy and more. Cost for members is $6/1 child and $12/2+ children; Cost for nonmembers is $10/1 child and $20/2+ children.

Y at Duck Creek Fall Festival
Sat., Oct. 29 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Decorate your car and come in costume for a morning of trunk-or-treating and kids’ games!

Halloween Storytime at Joseph-Beth
Mon., Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m.
Goblins and pirates and fairies, oh my! All creatures are welcome for a slightly-spooky Halloween storytime, with songs and stories and a trick-or-treat around the bookstore. Costumes encouraged!

Trunk or Treat at Mission Baptist Church Cincinnati
Mon., Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m.
Don’t miss this free Trunk or Treat event! Enjoy family friendly decorated trunks with delicious candy and treats at each vehicle. At least 25 cars participating. Mission Baptist Church is located at 7595 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236.
