MacaronDay_CP_textYou read this right! It is Macaron Day right here in our great city of Cincinnati on Saturday, March 18! Not only does the new Beauty and The Beast movie come out this weekend, but now we get FREE MACARONS?

What is Macaron Day you ask? Well, it’s a day when you – the macaron lover – gets to taste delectable French macarons from numerous bakeries AND support a local charity while doing so! I mean, seriously? Free macarons, people!

The Macaron Day tradition was established in 2005 in Paris as a fun partnership among local macaron bakeries to celebrate this yummy little French cookie and give back to local charities. There are now annual events all over the world participating in this amazing day in places like Budapest, Toronto, Portland and other cities. Cincinnati was lucky enough to join in on this amazing day back in 2015.

This year, each bakery will be donating a portion of their sales from the day to Pink Ribbon Girls. Beneficiaries in prior years include The Freestore Foodbank and Over-the-Rhine Community Housing.
