Lollipops Family Concert

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra presentsĀ Lollipops Family Concert, Dance Party! on Saturday, February 6 at Music Hall. The family-friendly concert will include performances by Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra violinist Bryson Karrer, the CCM Youth Ballet, and The Studio for Dance. Conductor John Morris Russell, respected worldwide for his educational programming, and the Pops will lead audiences in a dance party with bouncing tunes such as ā€œHoe-downā€ from Coplandā€™s Rodeo and music from Tchaikovskyā€™s Swan Lake.

Pre-concert activities, including crafts, performances and the ever-popular ā€œinstrument playground,ā€ begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Music Hall Ballroom.

Bryson Karrer

Bryson Karrer is an honor student in the eleventh grade at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. His passion for music was evident even as a toddler and he began his violin studies (at his own request) at the age of three.

Bryson has been studying with his current teacher, Marion Peraza de Webb of Cincinnati, for more than twelve years and credits her for much of his success. He is in his third year as a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra Philharmonic and holds the position of principal second violin.

In addition to the violin, Bryson has played the trombone for seven years. He is a member of the Electric Jazz Orchestra, a premier jazz ensemble at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. He also enjoys running cross country, listening to music, creating and editing videos, and is an avid reader. Bryson plans to continue his musical studies in college. He is currently visiting college campuses and exploring his options.

Bryson lives in West Chester, Ohio with his parents, sister, dog, and two cats.
