Johnny’s Toys Birthday Castle is Back!

If you grew up in Cincinnati, you likely remember the Johnny’s Toys Birthday Castle: a key would come in the mail, and on your birthday, your key would open the door to a castle nestled in the corner of the Latonia, KY toy store, where you’d select a free birthday gift. It was a pretty big deal for Cincinnati kids!

The toy store closed in 2009 — as did its beloved birthday castle. But, we are happy to report that it appears the Johnny’s Toy’s Birthday Castle is back!

The Tech Castle will soon open inside the former toy store location at 4314 Boron Drive — part of the building houses Totter’s Otterville, but the remainder of the space has been vacant for years.

Just like the old Johnny’s Birthday Club, you’ll receive a card each year around your birthday. But the Birthday Club now has a fun twist: anyone can sign up. (We’re looking at YOU, Cincinnati Parents!)

“We will have toys for children of all ages as well as gifts for the adults. You’re never too old for the Birthday Castle,” Tech Castle wrote.
