Who knew a pigeon could be so fascinating?
Martha: A Story of Extinction shares the tale of Martha, the last surviving passenger pigeon of her species. This bird is one of the best known examples of modern day extinction. Explore how hunting and habitat destruction led to the extinction of a bird whose population was once so dense it could block out the sun. There are several animals facing extinction today, and visitors can learn how humans can reverse this trend with several interesting hands-on activities.

Colors and Journeys

Cincinnati Art Museum visitors now have even more to see this winter with the opening of two new special features, Color Color and Bukang Y. Kim: Journey. Although very different in style, both artists have Cincinnati connections. Color Color showcases fascinating digital prints accompanied by poetry, while Bukang Y. Kim: Journey explores her artistic progression via eleven works from The Cincinnati Art Museum collection.
