You know the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”? Well, it really does! Fortunately, there are many organizations in the Cincinnati area dedicated to this very mission. Check out this list of local support groups and get the benefit of learning and connecting with other moms like you.

MOPS

MOPS or “Mothers of Preschoolers” is an international organization for moms of children ages birth through kindergarten. MOPS has 3,900 groups in 35 countries across the world — and several in the Greater Cincinnati area. This organization is about connecting, empowering and helping women across the world. Mom-to-Mom

Mom-to-Mom is a weekly meeting for parents of children any age held at The Cincinnati Family Enrichment Center (CFEC). If you’re looking for support, encouragement and understanding, check out this (free) parents group, which takes place every Thursday from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. The CFEC also offers classes on baby wearing, potty training and pregnancy – plus a monthly Spanish-speaking playgroup.

Moms Club

This international organization (“Moms Offering Moms Support”) has several local chapters including groups in Fairfield, Liberty Township and West Chester. Designed for stay-at-home-moms, this club organizes daytime outings, support services and offers free babysitting at meetings.

Montgomery Moms

For moms located in the Montgomery/Sycamore Township area, check out Montgomery Moms. This group strives to provide support for the whole family by organizing children’s activities, family events and couples outings. From book groups to Halloween parties and farm field trips, this well-organized resource offers many opportunities for local families.

Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to provide programming and community for moms through all stages, phases and transitions of motherhood. The organization hosts monthly meetings, book clubs, moms night out, play groups and field trips.

West Chester Mothers of Twins and More Club

If you’re a mom to multiples, this club is a must. West Chester Mothers of Twins and More hosts play groups, meetings and outings, as well as clothing swaps and a giant garage sale. Join the group when you’re pregnant to take full advantage of the group’s support!

Tri-state multiples

This group is designed specifically for parents of “higher order multiples” (triplets or more) from the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana areas. This group strives to provide emotional support, networking opportunities, educational information and social activities for its members.
