CAPitalizing on all that Plastic

So your family survived that arctic cold snap a couple weeks ago but do you have a plan for what you’ll do during the next one? Here’s an idea, and it doesn’t involve leaving your cozy home, or even going outside.

Simply begin collecting everyday objects that you might normally recycle or toss. Plastic lids, caps, cardboard and any interesting containers you come across. That’s the easy part. The challenging part? Where to store it all. This is where a basement can come in handy!

Then the next time the kids are stuck inside and bored, pull it all out and let them have at it. Here are a few things we made (the hanging caps have drilled holes hung together with fishing line). This is a great creative outlet that will not only entertain and challenge, but will also have you seeing the everyday in a whole new light!
