Too cold to play outside? Or looking for some new entertainment for the whole family? Then Scene75 is your destination for year-round indoor fun for all ages. Located in Dayton and Cincinnati (and coming soon…. Cleveland!), both locations have been named Top 3 Family Entertainment Centers in North America — and Dayton’s is the #1 Family Center in North America. These award-winning facilities guarantee a day of exciting activities sure to please everyone in your group.

  • *Chaos Room
  • *4-D Motion Theater
  • *Lazer Maze
  • *Valkyrie
  • *Atomic Rush
  • *Arcade Games
  • *Largest Inflatable Area in Ohio

However, only the Dayton location offers the Ohio’s first Virtual Reality Arcade. So on a Friday off school, I took my daughter and two of her friends to Scene75 Dayton to experience a new (virtual) reality. As we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff; and the girls immediately went to the Virtual Reality Room. Each girl was put into a 9′ x 12′ gaming area that has sensors mounted above to track their movements. They chose to play the same game which included grocery shopping, arranging groceries in a kitchen and cooking. After putting on their HTC Vive headset and controllers for each hand, they were immersed into the game.

While the girls played, I watched their actions which revealed what was happening on the game monitor. It was so cool; and after their 20 minutes of play, each of the girls were requesting Virtual Reality as a Christmas gift. “It was so awesome… I was in the game!” was most of the talk. Good luck, Santa!

The virtual reality room currently has 15 different games and experiences for players to choose (including 4 online multiplayer games). There are two different time sessions: A 20-minute gameplay session for $12 and a 60-minute gameplay session for $24. I recommend this game for 3rd grade and above.

Then the girls were off to explore more of Scene75. Almost all attractions have a height requirement. My daughter was too short to ride the Go-Karts by herself, but a wonderful Scene75 employee asked permission to drive my daughter so mom wouldn’t have to. All was fine and the girls practiced their driving skills… good thing driving permits are six years away!  After testing their Indy 500 skills, the girls entered into the 4-D Motion Theater. Once the door was closed, I could see the girls laughing, screaming (that annoying girl scream) and having the best time from the outside monitor.

Without hesitation, the girls made their way to the Inflatable Area; and after 30 minutes of jumping, sliding and climbing they were very hungry. We ate lunch in the Scene75 Bar & Grill; and with its variety of food, the girls settled on chicken fingers, corn dogs, fries and applesauce. But even with full bellies, the girls were ready for more arcade and Laser Tag action. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to play Blacklight Mini Golf, Mini Bowling and Bumper Cars. But I have a feeling we will be returning to Scene75 again.

Scene75 is Southwest Ohio’s headquarters for family fun throughout the entire year. Plus, the Dayton location has outdoor Sand Volleyball and Bocce Ball in the warmer months. Both locations are easy to find; and your kiddos will enjoy hours of activities (and hopefully a long nap afterwards). For more information, visit Scene75.com.
