It’s the beginning of back to school season which means it’s time to refresh the closets with new clothes, sharpen all of the pencils and get a fresh hair cut. A few local organizations are helping parents out with free backpacks and events, find one near you!

CPS Back-to-School Festival
August 5th, 11a: The event will include fun for the whole family at Washington Park– giveaways, games, activities and more! While you’re there, stop by the UC/CPS Strong Village to meet with UC department representatives and for information, swag and photo booth fun.
Goshen Ready Fest
August 6th, 2-4p: Back to School Event open to ALL Goshen district students & homeschool students, presented by GIFT Ministries at Goshen Middle School Gym. Free backpacks, school supplies, face painting, haircuts, food and music!
Back to School Cuts for Kids
August 6th, 1p-6p: For ages 3-12, free haircuts, pizza, backpack, games, face painting, games and music for ALL, however CUTS for KIDS is taking the (FIRST 40 kids) by RSVP ONLY!
We have the top 4 barbers in the city of Cincinati .. Domo The Barber, iLL Will DaBarber, Danny Fresh DaBarber and LinkD1fferent giving out cuts to kids that are RSVP. Music will be provided by DJ KELLZ, Food is provided by LaROSA’S Pizza, Drinks provided by FIJI WATER & CTAC, Backpacks provided by HILTON.
Milford Backpack Giveaway
August 12th, 10a: For Milford families, children can pick out a backpack, play games, enjoy snacks and a bouncy house courtesy of Milford Miami Ministries. Child must attend the event to receive a backpack.
Give Back- Back 2 School
August 13th, 2p-5p: The vision is to create an atmosphere of affirmation and style! The main feature will be for children Pre-K to 8th grade to receive FREE back to school hair styles and hair cuts. All services will be provided by some of the best Licensed Stylists & Barbers in our city. They all have a heart for kids and want to give back with their time and services this 2023-2024 school year!
Dayton KROC
August 19th, 11:30a: Celebrate the beginning of the school year at this fun event for the whole family. Enjoy grilled chicken sandwiches and ice cream, splash around at Kroc Pond, or bounce away on one of many inflatables and bounce houses.
