5 Things to do in Cincinnati the first weekend of November

It’s November, which means that it’s officially holiday season. Don’t worry — we’re not talking Christmas just yet; there are lots of festive, fallish, family friendly activities to get you in the Thanksgiving spirit!

Here are 5 things to do in Cincinnati the first weekend of November:

Antique Christmas Celebration
Fri., Nov. 4 from 6-8 at the Taft Museum
The Taft’s holiday display is one of our favorites: featuring decor and memorabilia from the past. At the Taft’s holiday kickoff, enjoy seasonal treats while listening to your favorite carols and browsing the festive Antique Christmas displays. Free; reservations required.

All-City Boychoir Festival
Sat., Nov. 5, 4-8 p.m. at the Aronoff Center
Nothing gets us in the holiday frame of mind quite like a choral concert. And the All-City Boychoir Festival is one for the books: three hundred boys united in song at the Aronoff Center! Did we mention it’s free? Because it’s free!

The Dayton Train Show at the Upper Valley Mall
Sat. and Sun., Nov. 5 and 6 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sat. and 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Sun.)
Train shows are a quintessential part of the holiday season — and this Dayton show is a great way to start November! Admission is $7/adult and kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult.

Powered By Wind
Sat., Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church
This family friendly show is sure to ignite a love of music in your kids! Read all about Linton’s PB&J Sessions here — and definitely make a point of attending one of the last Powered By Wind shows of the fall season!

Cincinnati Parent Playdate at Goldfish Swim School
Sun., Nov. 6 from 2-5 p.m. at Goldfish West Chester
Not to brag or anything, but we are a pretty fun and festive crew here at Cincinnati Parent. And this upcoming play date is going to be a blast! Bring the whole family out and enjoy a day of swimming for only $5 which includes mock cover photos, snacks, crafts, Bubbles the mascot, $15 future visit family swim coupon and of course family swim time in the always tropical 90 degree pool. Goldfish’s brand-new West Chester location is state-of-the-art, and your kids will get a healthy dose of off-season swim time at this play date.

Cheers to a fun and festive holiday season, Cincinnati Parents! For more family fun, be sure to bookmark our Online Calendar, which is updated daily with the latest and greatest events around town.
