5 Free Events Happening this Weekend in Cincinnati

It’s the last weekend of March, and we’re kind of ready to say buh-bye to this crazy month of thunderstorms, freezing temps and snowfall. But, before we do, how about a weekend of free family fun? As we perused the Online Calendar, we couldn’t help but notice a theme: lots of awesome activities this weekend just so happen to be 100% free. So, March, we’re calling a truce — and Cincinnati, we’ll see you this weekend!

Free Family Swim at Goldfish Swim School

Fri., March 24 from 12-2 p.m. at Goldfish West Chester
Join Bump Club & Beyond and Goldfish Swim School as we celebrate our new partnership. Join us for a free family swim- enjoy time splashing with your kids, a chance to meet other local parents & check out the awesome Goldfish facility. Please make sure to bring a swimsuit and towel. Swim diapers are available.

Open House at Mason/Florence Skidaddles

Sat., March 25 {Skidaddles Mason: 1-4 p.m.} and {Skidaddles Florence: 3-6 p.m.}
Cincinnati Parents: you don’t need to book a babysitter to enjoy an afternoon sans kids or date night! Skidaddles offers safe, affordable, drop-in childcare. Get a tour of the Mason and Florence facilities during this Saturday’s Open House events. Those who attend can win various giveaways, free registration and rate specials for Skidaddles’ programs such as summer camp discounts. There will be lots of activities for kids, including animal encounters with Cool Critters Outreach.

Learning Through Play at the Cincinnati Museum Center

Sat., March 25
Don’t miss the last day of Learning Through Play for Families. Drop-in activities will be available for families to experience the joy and benefit of playing together in Duke Energy Children’s Museum. Activities are free for Museum Members or included with admission to Duke Energy Children’s Museum for non-members.

Cincinnati Public Schools City-Wide Art Exhibition 2017

Daily through April 9 at the Main Library
Support Cincy’s youngest artists! This annual exhibition of artwork from kindergarten through 12th-grade students includes drawings, paintings, sculptures and photographs. Students compete across the school district for the privilege of exhibiting their work. The pieces are then judged by local artists and art teachers, with awards given to the top students.

Bird of Prey Meet & Greet Open House

Sun., March 26 from 1-4 p.m. at RAPTOR, Inc.
Visit RAPTOR Inc. during its FREE OPEN HOUSE EVENTS on the last Sunday of each month (March-November) between 1 and 4 p.m. and help support local bird of prey conservation! Meet LIVE! avian ambassadors up close, learn about the important role raptors play in our environment, touch interesting artifacts, speak to our knowledgeable staff and participate in fun activities. All ages welcome.
