5 Fabulous Fall Events this Weekend in Cincinnati

We’re getting closer to Halloween – and this weekend features some seriously fabulous fall events. From the Cincinnati Pop’s John Williams concert at Music Hall, to Fall-o-Ween at the always classic Coney Island, to Sunday Funday at the Taft Museum, this promises to be one fab fall weekend.

Here are 5 fabulous fall events this weekend in Cincinnati:

Music of John Williams
Oct. 13-15 at Music Hall
Think of this as the adult equivalent of geeking out for Halloween – you’ll experience selections from childhood favorites like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter by the master of film music. Plus hear the world premiere of the theme from Schindler’s List adapted for cello and orchestra, offered personally by John Williams!

Haunted Village at Heritage Village
Oct. 14-15
The perfect level of “spooky” for kids, Heritage Village Museum transforms into Haunted Village for six nights of spooktacular fun each October! This is a family-friendly, slight-fright event loaded with ghostly attractions. Visitors can take a wagon ride through the Village, or take a stroll into the cemetery…if you dare. Ghouls, witches, and a mad scientist will entertain guests throughout the night.

Harvest Moon Family Festival
Oct. 14 from 5-8 at Swaim Park
This community festival in Montgomery is what fall is all about! Celebrate the harvest season with hayrides around the park, pony rides, crafts and face painting.  The fire department will be serving coneys and other concessions. Kids can explore a smokehouse and a firetruck. Plus – it’s free!

Fall-o-Ween at Coney Island
Oct. 14 and 15
Features kid-friendly haunts, rides and a trick-or-treat trail! The whole family can celebrate all things fall with spooky displays, fall fare, pumpkins and more at Cincinnati’s most classic amusement park.

Fabulous Fall Funday at the Taft Museum
Oct. 15 from 1-4 pm
Halloween is on its way – start the fun at Fabulous Fall Funday! Make a fall decoration to take home, learn about the Taft’s spooky art and friendly ghosts, and become an expert puzzle solver at the Art Cart. Learn about and meet a few bats during a presentation by EchoBats at 1:30 or 3 pm.

Of course, there are plenty of trick-or-treat events happening this weekend – get the full rundown in our 2017 Guide to Trick or Treat Events in Cincinnati!
