5 Date Ideas for Parents this Weekend in Cincinnati

Most weekends, it’s all about the kids: and of course, this weekend is no exception. But, as we perused the Online Calendar, we couldn’t help but notice several fun activities for the parents. And, being that we are Cincinnati Parent, after all, we decided to dedicate this weekend roundup to the adults!

Here are 5 date ideas for parents this weekend in Cincinnati:

Jungle Jim’s International Wine Festival

Nov. 11 and 12 at Jungle Jim’s Fairfield
Wine and dine your way through Jungle Jim’s at this annual festival! With 90 wineries pouring over 400 wines, delicious food pairings by country, live music, and great company, it’s two extravagant evenings filled with the finest wines from around the world. Yes, please!

Greater Cincinnati Holiday Market

Nov. 11-13 at the Duke Energy Convention Center
Leave the kids at home while Santa gets a jump on holiday shopping! Enjoy browsing, window shopping and sampling at this mega market!

Antique Christmas

Through Jan. 8 at the Taft Museum
Art museums are great places to explore with a date. This year’s Christmas display features a miniature log cabin in Christmastime woods; an antique clockwork Santa; an exhibit of early German nutcrackers; antique Christmas feather trees trimmed entirely with delightful red and pink ornaments; and a large-scale tree with old patriotic ornaments in red, blue and white. Festive greenery will deck the halls and exterior of the house, and the Dining Room will be set for the holidays with sparkling china, crystal and silver. Grab lunch in the cafe once you’re done browsing!

A Whimsical Wonderland

Daily through Jan. 8
It’s opening weekend for this beloved holiday show, which takes place at the über-romantic Krohn Conservatory. While this is, of course, a favorite train show for kids, we recommend first checking it out with your partner. Stroll through the beautiful and balmy conservatory at your leisure!

Christmas Nights of Lights

Through Jan. 1 at Coney Island
What’s more romantic that holiday lights? This drive-through display features 2 miles of Christmas decor and light shows consisting of over one million LED lights. Visitors of all ages will be awed by the larger than life trees, glowing snowflakes, dancing candy canes and fantastic tunnels of lights! In the warmth of your own car, you can sing along to the sounds of the season synchronized to each holiday display.
